Alessandro Salami started devoting himself to micro-drawing ten years ago approximatively, developing an artistic pathway that brought him to experience several techniques and materials, and a passion for painting over pens.
The "Saint Rita" pen is aerograph painted all over cap and body of an Sheaffer Prelude fountain pen. Each pen is hand painted, and signed by the artist.
The pen is honouring Saint Rita of Cascia, Agustinian nun, the patron saint of forgiveness and peace, born in 1380 in Cascia, Italy; the barrel is painted with a Saint's portait, and the cap shows her name in golden letters with a Svarowski crystal.
The artist, Alessandro Salami, reproduced Saint Rita with her nun gown, surrounded by roses and bees that represent her miracles, in a bright golden roundel that stands out on the black pen.
Only non-toxic, acrylic colours have been used, and the process is completely hand made, even the final polish protective coating.
Cartidge/converter filling system.
Bicolor steel nib, with M tip.
Golden trims.
The pen comes in a precious brown leather box, with lock and key.
