Honouring Torino in the 150th Anniversary of the Unity of Italy

To coincide with the 150th anniversary of the Unity of Italy, Aurora has choosen to focus on Torino, which was the first Italian capital city in 1861 (and after 150 years, is celebrated more than ever as a pivotal figure in Italian history)
When Giuseppe Garibaldi completed the unification of Italy with his expeditionary force, he had the support of Vittorio Emenuele II, king of Savoy.
The collection includes fountain pens, rollerballs and ballpens in blue resin.
The pen is in blue resin, and its cap is enriched by a decoration in sterling silver which depicts the most important beauties of the city:
- the rampant bull, the symbol of Turin since 1687
- Palazzo Madama, the first gateway to the city, and then residences of the royal ladies
- The Mole Antonelliana, the highest building of the city, symbol of Turin as well
- the portrait of Emanuele Filiberto, duke of Savoy
- The cap central ring is engraved with "Italia 150°", to recall the 150th Anniversary of the Unity of Italy..
The number 150 is also well visible in the cap decoration
The fountain pen is piston filled and a classic Aurora 18 Kt white gold nib (EF, F, M, B).
Pens come in an elegant blue velvet box, a color which symbolizes Italy and also Turin; and the fountain pen comes with a bottle of ink with personalized label.
