The Pineider Milano notebooks are bound with a soft cover in genuine Saffiano Italian leather of different colours. The edges are hand-painted, silver or golden, according to the Florentine tradition.
96 sheets of ivory paper (80 gr.) striped, watermarked by Pineider.
The Milano notebooks are available in two sizes
Large: cm. 19x25
Medium: cm. 14,5 x 21
The "Saffiano" leather is a calfskin leather that is treated and stamped to obtain the characteristic scratched effect, formed by many lines crossed diagonally, and then treated with wax.
Saffiano leather is produced only in Italy; it's a complex and expensive process, which involves 12 different finishing steps.
It is a valuable material, aesthetically refined, consistent to the touch, and more resistant to wear and water, which is usually applied for luxury items.
