The Viaggio Segreto in Italia is the Aurora's collection that explores some well-known and lesser-known Italian places, capturing their features and transforming them into shapes and colours (and music) for these magnificent fountain pens, based on the famous 88 model.
Each pen is made of auroloid, in colours inspired by the chosen place; it comes with a matching coloured ink bottle, and a watercolour-painted bookmark showing a detail of the collection. From the QR code printed on the bookmark you can download music that will bring the atmosphere of the place to life.

Viaggio Segreto - ORTIGIA
The oldest part of Syracuse - the island of Ortigia - is linked to the legend of the nymph Arethusa, transformed into a spring by the goddess Diana to protect her from Alphaeus. The Arethusa fountain is still today a place of meeting and strolling, whose water flow has often been threatened by drought or earthquakes.
The Aurora Viaggio Segreto fountain pen dedicated to Ortigia has the colours of water and stone, turquoise and grey.

Viaggio Segreto - MANTOVA
Mantua is one of Italy's most famous destinations for art and culture.
Rich in Renaissance architecture, surrounded by 3 lakes (Superiore, di Mezzo and Inferiore) where every summer there is the largest flowering of lotus flowers in Europe.
This is why the Aurora Viaggio Segreto fountain pen dedicated to Mantua has the colours of pink and green, on a light translucent background.

Viaggio Segreto - BURANO
Burano is a small "island" near Venice, known for its handmade lace and colourful houses.
Originally, the bright colours were used by fishermen to find their homes even in the thick fog of the lagoon. Today they are a tradition the inhabitants are proud of, a boast for the whole village.
The Viaggio Segreto in Italia pen inspired by Burano expresses the spirit of contrasting colours. The ink included in the box is purple.

Viaggio Segreto - BAIA OF NAPOLI
Baia is the name of an ancient submerged Roman city, close to Naples, with the remains of villas, baths, mosaics and extraordinary artefacts, a favourite place of the Roman aristocracy until the 3rd century AD. It was submerged due to a violent bradyseism.
Today it is an underwater archaeological park, a protected marine area, which can be visited by diving.
The Baia-inspired Viaggio Segreto in Italia pen is in blue, purple and light blue marbled auroloid, inspired by the seabed.

Viaggio Segreto - VOLTERRA
Volterra is a city of Etruscan origin and the main place for quarrying and working alabaster.
The alabaster of Volterra is the finest in Europe, each quarry has a different type and is worked according to an ancient practice handed down from generation to generation.
The Viaggio Segreto fountain pen inspired by Volterra is made of alabaster-coloured mottled auroloid, in milky shades of beige, grey, ivory.
The matching ink is sepia-coloured.
