Andrea Palladio, architect (1508-1580)
Andrea Palladio was a Venetian architect, widely considered the most influential architect in the history of Western architecture. The Palladian style, named after him, adhered to classical Roman principles he rediscovered, applied and explained in his works.
Aurora marks the fifth centenary of the birth of Andrea Palladio with a new line of pens dedicated to the famous architect in a limited and numbered edition.
The Palladio pen
Aurora Palladio is a pen with a sound and linear personality, like a Palladian architecture.
Beyond the severity of the design, the ideals of one of the greatest Italian architects are reflected, in the black lacquer effect and rose-gold plating, between light and material.
Rings and clip are decorated with the architectural motifs typical of Palladio’s works. Finely engraved archways, vaults and staircases blend with the guilloche design on the cap, while the flash of gold and black lacquer finish meets the streamlined design of the barrel in a harmonious game of geometries and colors.
The fountain pen is piston filled; and features a 18 Kt gold nib.
The matching roller has the same shape, size and finishing as the fountain pen. Its grip is decorated with architectural designs.
A more precious fountain pen, in solid gold with black trims is also available, made in only 99 pieces, with a pavè of rubies set in the clip.
